Arts educator and artist…
Artistic Claire art classes and Creative Relationships are led by artist and educator, Claire Kennett along with a small, experienced and enthusiastic team.
With professional qualifications and experience in both Early Years Education and Visual Arts, Claire’s art practice is a way of seeing life, a means of self-care, reflection and healing.
As a mixed media artist Claire engages with a wide range of media, inspired by natural materials and environments.
“I share the essence of wonder and connection with nature through artworks featuring native flora, birds and elements, created with natural eco dyes I distill from plants, wild clays and earth pigments, combined with mixed media. I make jewellery and mosaic, play with textiles and love exploring techniques”
Mixed Media
A combination of acrylics, drawing materials, oil paints, textiles, papers and found objects.
Relief
Hand cut relief prints, inked and printed to create embellished artworks, cards and wrapping paper.
Mosaic
Composed of collected, reclaimed leadlight glass, crockery and ceramic and glass tiles.
Jewellery
My metal smithing and lapidary is inspired by my Dad’s passion to cut and set collected gemstones.
