Learn how to design and make an articulated puppet. Use coloured card and decorate with paint pens, or use white card and hand colour it in your own style. Embellish with sparkles, metallic pens and fine liners to achieve 3-d and layered effects.

Stencil and stitch your own tote bag - age 10 and up.
You will design your own stencils or use commercial stencils learning about stencilling techniques and colour mixing. You will then use embroidery thread or wool to add stitched decorations, beads and buttons to further embellish your tote bag.

Tonal realism and mixed media eye drawing - ages 8 and up.
Learn about the parts of an eye, the steps and processes in drawing an eye, practice pencil techniques using graphite pencils, blending stumps and erasers, and use reference images to draw a tonally realistic eye.
Young artists can then practice their new skills and knowledge to create a colourful, expressive and "out of this world" version of an eye using graphite pencils, water colours, pastels and acrylic paints.

Tie Dye Pillow Case for kids ages 6-16
Kids will love this creative and colourful workshop where they will make a tie dyed pillow case. They will learn to twist and tie the white pillow case and colour sections in a range of colours in order to make a vibrant and original pillow case artwork. They will also practice techniques on smaller pieces which they can use as wall hangings.
Mixed Media Artwork on Canvas - teen
Teenagers will use paints, drawing materials, papers/ text and textiles to create an original, expressive mixed media art work.
Printmaking Workshop ages 10 and up
We will use Ezy Carve and carving tools to design and make unique personalised prints onto card, fabric and papers.
Kids Polymer Clay Modelling Workshop
Creative kids of all ages will love modelling miniature creatures, characters, beads for jewellery or whatever their imagination can dream.
Kids aged 6-16 will love to model their favourite character, bird, cat, dog, dragon, dinosaur, horse, people, food or functional items such as jewellery beads that can be worn the same day.
Learn about colour mixing and working with polymer clay in new ways with artist Claire. Use sculpting tools to create the coolest mini models ever!
Kids mosaic workshop
Children aged 6-16 will create one or more delightful mosaics using mosaic glass and ceramic tiles and reclaimed lead light glass.
Children will get first hand experience working in an artists studio. They can choose from a bird, heart, circle, star or a letter of their name. Each measuring approx.15 -20 cm. All pieces will come ready with a hanger attached.
If choosing a letter, please specify when booking as the backing board will be pre-cut.
Children will learn how to create a mosaic including safety, tile spacing, shaping tiles using tile cutting tools, attaching pieces and design. Pieces will be grouted once dry (overnight) and will need to be collected from the studio.

Mexican Gods Eye textile art for 9-16 year olds. Gods Eyes originate in Mexico by the Huichol people who used them for prayer and protection. They are a great way of learning about other cultures and a good example of how textiles connect people across time and places. Kids aged 9-16 years will love making these simple textile artworks in colours of their choice. They will make 1 medium sized Gods Eye each, and tassels or pompoms can be added. They can also make some in miniature for jewellery, bag tags or decorations, time permitting.

Kids aged 6-16 will use Ezycarve and carving tools (older participants) or foam board (younger participants) to create a reusable printing block. They will then experiment with a range of coloured, non-toxic, washable printing inks to print by hand, original cards, gift tags, decorations or a picture mounted on mat board. They will take home their completed prints and the printing block.
