Children’s art classes
Children’s Art Classes
My children's classes give expressive voice to children and young people in my local community.
By drawing on my broad skill-base, education and inclusion background these classes enable younger members of our community to:
co-construct and share their ideas
build positive and creative connections
practice and refine their artistic skills
Children’s art classes cater to a range of groups; pre school, home school, beginner and intermediate.
Group sizes are small with a maximum of 10.
Topics are varied and negotiated to support the interests and abilities of the students. We explore visual art themes such as self-expression, light and shadow, composition, materiality and texture, colour, art movements and history, artist studies, experimentation and practice to learn about topics such as drawing, painting, printmaking and jewellery - and of course combining these to create mixed media artworks influenced by our natural environment.
I aim for your child to learn creative skills and technical knowledge to express their own ideas, to develop their “creative voice”.
