CHILDREN’S ART CLASSES

Children’s Art Classes give expressive voice to children and young people, through art classes, children will

  • co-construct and share their ideas

  • build positive and creative connections

  • practice and refine their artistic skills

Group sizes are small with a maximum of 10.

Topics are varied and negotiated to support the interests and abilities of the students. We explore visual art themes such as self-expression, light and shadow, composition, materiality and texture, colour, art movements and history, artist studies, experimentation and practice to learn about topics such as DRAWING, PAINTING, SCULPTURE/3-D (including clay) and PRINTMAKING.

SESSION TIMES

MONDAY

4-5 pm - Beginner (ages 6-9)

5:30 - 6:30 - Intermediate 1 (ages 10-13)

TUESDAY

4-5 pm - Beginner (ages 6-9)

5:30 - 6:30 - Inclusion (ages 10 and up)

WEDNESDAY

4-5 pm - Beginner (ages 6-9)

5:30 - 6:30 - Intermediate 2 (ages 14 - 17)

THURSDAY

4-5 pm - Beginner (ages 6-9)

5:30 - 6:30 - Intermediate 1 (ages 10-13)

Classes run for 1 hour per week, within SA school term times

COSTS

Beginner and intermediate classes - $24.50 per student per hour

Inclusion class - $30 per student per 1 hour class

1:1 tailored classes - NDIS and non-NDIS

Family discount available for 3rd and subsequent child.

1:1 private classes are available alternate weekends and during the day individually negotiated
